A fundraiser to help keep the skate park at RVCC! RVCC does not charge for use of the skate park, but it costs us $4000/year to pay the liability insurance premium that allows us to have it on our grounds. You can help by coming to this event, or donating to SK8 Nelson at https://www.rockfishcc.org/support-sk8-nelson/.

Nefarious Characters

Nefarious Characters are a trio formed in Glass Hollow, Afton, Virginia. James B Del Priore, guitarist & vocals, is an Afton native that has had musical interest since he has had memories. His influences range from Hendrix to Haggard with everything in between. The Bassist, James McLean, hails from nearby Waynesboro. He bring in his influences from Incubus, Mars Volta and Radiohead. They are kept to the beat of the drummer and West Virginia bred Clayton Witte. He brings it hard with NoFX, Pennywise, Slayer and The Expendables as his influences. When not riding asteroids and fighting dinosaurs, this foursome can be found jammin' at the cabin across the creek!

7th Grade Girl Fight

Listen at:  https://7thgradegirlfight.bandcamp.com/album/jump-back

Debra Guy (vocals, guitar) met Drew Pompano (bass) in 2015 and they formed the folk pop quartet Help Me Helen. Debra met Bill Morris (drums) in 2016 in Crozet where they were bandmates in a prog/roots rock band. Debra met Chris Hammond (guitar) on a snowy Saturday night in 2017 at a kid’s birthday party in Louisa. A perfect storm of friendship and musicianship birthed 7th Grade Girl Fight, a loud and fun blend of indie rock, emo pop, and post-punk influences.

What started as a side project for Guy, most known for her acoustic singer-songwriter presence in Charlottesville, has taken front and center stage as 7GGF will release back-to-back EP’s in 2018: “Jump Back” in June; “Summer is Over” in September.
